Crocco: Kickoff of New Staff Psycho-Physical Wellbeing Project

As part of its transformation into a Benefit Corporation—a business model that mixes profit goals with a mission to impact society and the environment positively—Crocco has rolled out a project focused on staff psycho-physical wellbeing. This initiative is in partnership with Tack TMI Italy, a training arm of Gi Group Holding, which operates in over 55 countries globally.

The project actively includes 250 employees and is split into two main sessions. The first session is led by Pier Paolo Pavan, a specialist in Dietology and Food Sciences and Director of the Food Hygiene and Nutrition Service at AULSS 8 Berica-Vicenza. The goal? To make employees aware of the benefits of healthy eating for both health promotion and disease prevention, enhancing life quality at work and home.

The second session is handled by kinesiologists specialized in preventive and adapted physical activity, Chiara Rasotto and Gerarda Soren, who are also qualified safety trainers. This part of the project focuses on body health, offering insights into work-related musculoskeletal disorders, tips for better posture, ways to avoid biomechanical overload, and specific exercises for musculoskeletal well-being.

The project proposes two types of exercises: one for home, to be done after work mainly lying down, and another consisting of quick, simple exercises suitable for the office, to be done standing or sitting. These help break up static postures and relieve tension.

The initiative aims to create an optimal work environment, promoting a positive corporate atmosphere, a sense of belonging, and team enthusiasm. This integrated approach looks to boost company performance, enhance the firm's appeal in the job market (retention and employer branding), and foster social sustainability.

This program, woven into mandatory training and developed to progress gradually, aims to engage the company's people. It represents a crucial first step towards fully integrating sustainability into the company’s DNA. The goal is to create a work environment where people feel good, actively contributing to the company's success and sustainable growth.
